The LSHS Warranty Policy
1. SCOPE
LABH SINGH HARNAM SINGH LTD (LSHS) locally fabricated bus body is fully covered by our warranty policy, against defects in material and workmanship under normal use for one full year from the original date of delivery (DOD) or 100,000KM whichever comes first. Any and all material workmanship defect will be repaired or replaced at no cost within the warranty period. Under no circumstances shall LSHS be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage exceeding the purchase price of the bus body.
2. APPLICABLE LAW
Applicable law and standards is Kenya no matter where the unit is registered / used.
3. EXLUSION
Warranty does not include:-
- All consequential losses and costs
- Logistics costs of bring and taking away the unit to and from the plant.
- Damages arising from accident, negligence, deficiency, misuse and lack of maintenance is proved
- Electrical wiring and glass
- Third party fitments such as Air Conditioning, TV, DVD player, PA systems etc.,
4. REPORTING
- All defects must be reported with in 7 days after being noted.
- Unit must thereafter be brought to the plant for repairs within 2 weeks.
- Client is prohibited from carrying out interim repairs.
5. MATERIALS AND PARTS USED
LSHS is exempt from liability on material if it can conclusively proof that materials were procured from a KEBS branded manufacturer.
6. CLIENTS RESPONSIBILITIES
Client is expected to:-
- Use the unit on authorized / classified roads.
- Observe load capacity restrictions.
- Observe relevant traffic guidelines.
- Not carry corrosive and destructive cargo.
- Not in any way interfere with unit’s electrical and wiring system.
- Use proper cleaning agents that are not corrosive and destructive.
- Undertake a comprehensive pre delivery inspection.
- Undergo training on the maintenance and operations procedures.
7. WARRANTY PERIOD
Warrant term remains from date of delivery and does not extend from date of repairs.
8. CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Any conflict between parties will be solved by arbitration.
